How It Works With Any EMR

SOAP Note Buddy works with any web-based EMR without requiring integrations, API connections, or backend access. Here is how it works.

No Integration Needed

Unlike traditional EMR add-ons, SOAP Note Buddy does not connect to your EMR’s API or database. It runs entirely as a browser extension, reading and interacting with the page you already have open.

How Auto Fill Works

When you click “Automate Notes” in the extension:

1. The extension scans the current EMR page to detect fillable fields (text boxes, dropdowns, checkboxes, etc.).
2. It reads labels, section headers, and surrounding context to understand what each field is for.
3. Using your patient information and clinical data, it generates appropriate content for each field.
4. It fills the fields directly on the page, just as if you had typed the values yourself.

The entire process is driven by AI, so it adapts to your EMR’s specific layout and terminology automatically. There are no field mappings to configure.

How AI Note Works

AI Note works independently of your EMR page:

1. You provide patient details and a daily summary in the extension.
2. The AI generates a complete clinical note.
3. You copy the note and paste it into your EMR, EHR, or any documentation system.

Because AI Note does not interact with the page, it works with any system, including desktop applications, mobile apps, and paper-based workflows.
