Patient Checklist

The Patient Checklist is a quick list of the points you want to hit during a visit. You open it before you start recording with Voice Scribe, run through the visit, and use it to confirm you covered everything that matters for that patient and discipline. It is designed to pair with Voice Scribe so your dictated note ends up complete.

Plan requirement: Unlimited+. The Patient Checklist is part of the Voice Scribe experience, which is an Unlimited+ feature. Trial users have full access during their 7-day trial.

How to Use It

  1. On the Scribe screen, open the Patient Checklist before you start recording.
  2. Pick a checklist template for your discipline and note type (eval, progress, discharge, etc.), or build your own list.
  3. Optionally, select the patient and tap Generate to have the AI add patient-specific sub-points pulled from the patient’s eval summary and previous note. This is especially useful for reevaluations and follow-up visits, where you want to revisit specific prior findings or goals.
  4. Record the visit with Voice Scribe as usual.
  5. Tap items to check them off and tap a row to expand its sub-points. You can drag to reorder, rename, add, or remove items at any time.

Templates and Custom Items

Each discipline ships with checklist templates alongside the note templates. You can use a template as-is, edit it, or create your own from scratch. Items you add yourself are saved and reused; AI-generated sub-points are specific to that session and are not saved to the template.

How It Works with Voice Scribe

The checklist is a coverage aid, not a separate note. As you talk through the visit, the points on the checklist remind you what to address. After recording, the transcript flows into AI Note or Fill EHR the same way it always does, so the checklist simply helps make sure that transcript is complete before it becomes your note.

Why This Matters

Missed details are the main reason a generated note needs heavy editing. Walking into a visit with the right checklist, especially one primed with patient-specific points for a follow-up, means you capture the things that matter the first time and spend less time fixing notes afterward.
