Data Export & Deletion

You own your data. SOAP Note Buddy gives you the ability to export everything and request full deletion at any time.

Exporting Your Data

To download a complete copy of all your data:

1. Open the SOAP Note Buddy extension by clicking the icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Navigate to Settings.
3. Go to Backup & Restore.
4. Click Export All Data.
5. A JSON file will download to your computer.

The export includes:

• All patient profiles
• Eval summaries
• Note history and last note summaries
• Custom instructions
• Extension settings and preferences

You can use this export as a backup or to transfer your data if needed. We recommend exporting periodically as a precaution.

Deleting Your Data

To request complete deletion of your data from SOAP Note Buddy’s systems:

1. Email [email protected] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.”
2. Include the email address associated with your account.
3. We will confirm deletion within 48 hours.

Deletion covers:

• All cloud-synced data in Google Firestore
• Your account and subscription records
• Any support correspondence (upon request)

Local data stored in your browser’s IndexedDB is not affected by a server-side deletion request. To remove local data, you can uninstall the extension or clear your browser’s site data for the extension.

After Deletion

Once your data is deleted from our systems, it cannot be recovered. Make sure to export your data before requesting deletion if you want to keep a copy. If you resubscribe later after a deletion, you will start with a fresh account.
