Can't Sign In / Not Getting a Login Code
If you signed up but can’t get into the app or extension, the cause is almost always the email address. Here’s how to fix it.
Check for a typo first
If the address has a small slip in it (an extra letter after “.com”, or “gmial.com” instead of “gmail.com”), the sign-in screen will tell you what it thinks you meant: “No account found for [email protected]. Did you mean [email protected]?”
If that suggestion looks right, enter the corrected address and request a new code. A typo is the single most common reason a login code never arrives.
Use the exact email you signed up with
To sign in, you request a login code by entering your email. The code is only sent if there’s an account for that exact email.
The most common issue: signing up with one email (for example, your work email) and then trying to sign in with a different one (your personal email). If the emails don’t match, you’ll see “no account found.”
- Check which email you used at checkout. Look for the “Welcome to SOAP Note Buddy” email. Whichever inbox it arrived in is the email your account is under.
- Enter that exact email on the Sign In screen and request a code.
- If you have both a work and a personal email, try the other one.
Just signed up? Give it a moment
If you signed up seconds ago, your account may still be finishing setup. Wait about a minute, then request the code again.
Not receiving the code
If you’re sure you’re using the right email and still aren’t getting a code:
- Check your spam or junk folder. The code comes from [email protected].
- Wait a minute and request a new code. Codes expire after 10 minutes, so request a fresh one if the old one aged out.
- Work email on a corporate/health system? Some hospital and clinic mail servers block outside senders. If the code never arrives at your work email, that’s likely the cause.
Still stuck?
Don’t create a second account, it won’t fix the email mismatch and leaves you with duplicate subscriptions. Instead, email [email protected] with the email you signed up with and we’ll get you signed in.
