Supported Languages

SOAP Note Buddy currently supports English only for note generation and voice transcription.

What Works in English

• AI note generation — all generated clinical notes, SOAP notes, and field content are produced in English
• Voice transcription — speech-to-text is optimized for English clinical terminology
• Interface and instructions — the extension UI, help text, and custom instruction processing are all in English

Field Detection Works Regardless of Language

The Auto Fill field detection system reads HTML structure, not language. It identifies fields by their element types, positions, and relationships on the page rather than by reading labels in a specific language. This means Auto Fill can detect fields on EMR systems with interfaces in other languages, though the generated content will still be in English.

Your feedback directly influences our development priorities. Languages with the most requests will be prioritized for future releases.

Bilingual Documentation

If your practice requires documentation in both English and another language, you can use AI Note to generate the English version and translate it separately. Custom instructions can also help shape output for practices that use English clinical terminology within notes written for non-English-speaking contexts.
