Patient Management
Patient management lets you maintain your active caseload within the extension. Each patient has an eval summary, note history, and optional custom instructions that the AI uses to generate accurate documentation.
Adding a Patient
- Click Add Patient on the main screen.
- Enter the patient’s name.
- Add an eval summary with relevant clinical background. This is the most important field for AI quality. Include diagnosis, precautions, goals, and baseline functional status.
- Optionally upload a PDF evaluation to have the AI extract a structured summary. See PDF Upload & AI Summarize for details.
- Click Save.
Editing a Patient
- Click on a patient’s name to open their card.
- Click Edit to modify their name, eval summary, or custom instructions.
- Click Save when finished.
Update the eval summary as the patient’s status changes. Current information helps the AI generate more accurate notes.
Archiving a Patient
When a patient is discharged or no longer on your caseload, archive them instead of deleting.
- Open the patient’s card.
- Click Archive.
Archiving hides the patient from your active list but preserves all their data, including eval summaries, note history, and custom instructions. You can restore them at any time.
Restoring an Archived Patient
- Go to Settings > Archived Patients.
- Find the patient you want to restore.
- Click Restore.
The patient returns to your active list with all their data intact.
Tips
- Keep eval summaries detailed and current. The AI relies heavily on this information.
- Archive rather than delete so you never lose patient documentation history.
- Use Backup & Restore to safeguard your patient data.
